Bedford, MA (May, 2025) – PharmaPhixx proudly announces that its cofounder and CEO, Dr. Andrea Wagner, has been named one of the 100 Women to Know in America by The KNOW Women, a national organization recognizing influential leaders across industries who are making a meaningful impact in business and beyond. Dr. Wagner is a serial entrepreneur with a deep track record of success in the life sciences industry. She cofounded and helped grow two contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs) from the ground up—one to 130 employees and the other to 230 employees—culminating in the acquisition of her most recent venture by Sharp Services in 2023.
After years of building companies in biotech, she recognized a critical industry gap: a lack of reliable engineering support for pharmaceutical manufacturers. This insight led to the launch of PharmaPhixx, a company focused on providing expert engineering services including equipment installation, predictive maintenance, emergency repair, process optimization, and cybersecurity for pharma facilities.
“When we needed help as a CDMO, there was no one to call,” said Dr. Wagner. “PharmaPhixx was created to be that missing resource.”
Beyond her work with PharmaPhixx, Dr. Wagner is also the cofounder of Herizon Funding, a private equity fund dedicated to investing in women-owned and women-led businesses. She serves on the board of Women Entrepreneurs Grow Global (WEGG), is an advisory board member of the Boston Museum of Science and founded the Andrea Wagner Women in Science Scholarship Fund to support young women pursuing degrees in STEM.
In 2024, she expanded her entrepreneurial reach with the launch of LuxLined, a luxury sweater brand, and is currently writing her first book, “Women Nerds,” which empowers women in STEM to step into leadership roles.
Dr. Wagner’s career reflects a personal mission to advance women in STEM, business, and entrepreneurship, backed by a proven record of building, scaling, and successfully exiting biotech companies.
